Bird Program
With over 100 acres of land WSA offers some of the best hunting in the area.

In addition to specific club rules, all Mass. DFW regulations apply.
There is good bird hunting on the club grounds.
The in house BIrd Program runs from October through March on Saturdays with some closures for Deer season.
Hours are usually on Saturday mornings- birds are set out around 6-7 AM- hunts with or without dogs start about 9 Am and endaround 2:30 PM. During all bird hunt times the other ranges are CLOSED.
Each year we stock the property with pheasants, partridge and chukkar- badges are sold to members who wish to hunt them. For safety reasons, only target loads are allowed (2-3/4", 3 dram maximum, no shot larger than #7-1/2) during pheasant shoots.
A pheasant badge must be purchased for hunting during upland game season.
2023-2024 dates
1. Two morning hunts at 9 and 11 AM, limited to no more than 12 hunters per hunt.
2. No more than one guest per hunter for morning hunts.
3. Afternoon hunts after 1 PM, If a program member wants to hunt with more than one guest. Guests are $50 per day per guest. Let me know in advance and I will purchase birds for that hunt. Hunting licenses are required.
4. Will stock birds at 7 AM for the 9 AM hunt. Hunters going out at 11 AM will stock 2 birds themselves. Birds lost while at the pen still count as part of two bird limit.
5. We will use electronic sign up. The Sign Up Genis program. Electronic sign up for Saturday's only. Sunday through Friday no electronic sign up needed.
6. Hunters will initially hunt in designated hunting area at the start of the hunt. They will discuss where everyone is going prior to the hunt for space and safety.
7. Sunday Hunting is permitted unless closed for a sporting clays shoot or 3D Archery shoot.
8. No Hunting Sunday 15 October, 3D Archery Shoot.
9. Limit 2 birds per day. The limit can be increased if an individual purchases extra birds from the club. There is no limit on the amount of extra birds an individual can purchase.
Long Program $450
Saturday October 7th to Sunday November 26th, Monday January 1st to Sunday March 31st.
Short Program $200
Saturday October 14th thru Friday November 10th
Wakers (no dogs) $100
